Nokia Today announced Nokia N900 internet tablet based on Maemo 5 Linux platform .Maemo 5 Linux is new generation mobile touch platform with speed and facilities which for the first time going to get introduced in Nokia N900 . We earlier covered the expected specifications and price of the New Nokia N900 internet tablet . But the code name Rover disappeared on official Nokia press release . This phone is going to be the next flagship model of Nokia ,after N97 . Like N97 , Nokia N900 internet tablet is specially built device for accessing internet and allied services on mobile phones . It will have a massive 3.5 touch screen ,32GB inbuilt memory ,GPS,WLAN and powerful 5 mega pixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics Tessar lens and slide out QWERTY keyboard . Maemo 5 enables Nokia N900 to provide internet experience on Firefox powered mobile browsers .Nokia N900 along with Nokia 5530 ,5230 and N97 Mini will be the main attraction at upcoming Nokia world on September 2009 .

As you can see in the photos , Nokia N900 will have a qwerty keyboard and kickstand just like in N97 . There is 3.5 inch touch screen ,5 mega pixel camera and 32B inbuilt memory . As per Nokia , the Maemo 5 Linux platform has the capability to deliver computer like speed and performance into mobile computing . It may not even get launched in India. Nokia has stated "selected markets" in their press release. No tablet has been officially released by them in the past also here.

"The Nokia N900 indeed promises to be something special, however there are LITTLE things about the phone which I feel Nokia could have improved".
1.Battery Life, For such a powerful device capable of multitasking it will need a very long lasting battery life, but Nokia is aiming for the device to last a whole day.
2.Camera, The camera should have been an 8 megapixel camera rather than a 5 megapixel, especailly with other companies raising the bar for mobile phones Nokia may even have to go straight to a 12.1 megapixel camera for thier next device.
3.Streaming videos, Youtube video streaming did seem to lag at times so you may have to wait before watching your chosen youtube clips.
4.Design, I felt Nokia could have made the N900 look more stylish, although it is not meant to be a stylish handset, I would prefer the phone to look more appealing.
Other than this I feel that the phone is marvelous and indeed Nokia has taken mobile technology to the next level."
I think this is great phone with linux OS, its a change in the mobile os and as compared with android and symbian we need to take some reviews first..
I pre ordered one at $449 but not sure how its going to Perform..I have seen some you tube clips but its not performing superb

I have used N810 device without the network feature and N900 resembles the same. It's a great device for both users as well as for developers. Nokia indeed has come up with a linux based mobile. Even when I say this I doubt the mainstream acceptance of this device –

This very much resembles N810 device. N810 was not having the GSM support. The spec looks spectacular. Its basically a hacker's phone.
I hope the word data of Nokia 9500 will be transferable to this N900. And then this will be the best device in the world as on date
I dont know anything but its web browsing speed is 10mbpc and that is much faster than anyother phone
