Sony Ericsson Xperia series currently constitute high end and costly smartphones on Windows mobile platform. We recently covered the price and specifications of Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 with latest Windows mobile 6.5 professional mobile operating system. So far we don't have any Android based mobile device from Sony Ericsson. Finally Sony Ericsson is about to enter this promising mobile platform with upcoming XPERIA X10* aka Rachel. We have already seen so many leaked photos and spec sheets Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, even before Xperia X2 came into existence. Rumors suggest the name of this Android 2.0 powered phone as Xperia X3, Xperia X5 and Xperia X10. But we believe it to be Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 .

The official specifications of Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 will be available on November 3 . Now we have the partial specifications of this dream phone, based on a leaked brochure.

According to the brochure, Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Rachel will have a the same 1GHz Snapdragon processor that is used in Acer Liquid and Motorola Droid. It would be the second phone to host Android OS 2.0 . Besides this Sony Ericsson XPERIA  X10 would also include 8.1 mega pixel auto focus camera with HD imaging, massive 4 inch capacitive touch screen and 32GB internal memory .

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Rachel price in India :

Sony Ericsson XPERIA  X10 will be the first Android phone to include a camera that is more 5 mega pixels.  Considering other factors like the processor, inbuilt memory and screen size , we expect the India price Sony Ericsson XPERIA  X10 to be around 35000-37000 INR.

Updated: Sony Ericsson announced the specifications and launch date of Xperia 10 .

Android 2.0 OS, 1GHZ Snapdragon processor, 262K 4 inch touch screen with 854 x 480 pixels resolution, 8 mega pixel camera with auto focus and LED flash, secondary front camera, 1GB internal memory and 256MB RAM, 8GB inbuilt expandable upto 16GB, accelerometer sensor,WiFi, 3G, EDGE , GPRS, GPS, 1500 mAh battery, Youtube and other Google applications, HTML web browser.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is expected to be launched on the first quarter of 2010. Price and carrier based plans will be announce later.
