Now there are several mobile browsers in the market. Most of us know Opera mini, Safari mobile and other default mobile browsers in our handsets. However, there are few other mobile web browser applications, those in some terms are better than the default web browsers. For example, Skyfire and BOLT are two apps that can stream YouTube, MetaCafe and other streaming videos within web pages. Whereas Opera mini and others open an external media player to play FLV videos. Skyfire is completely free and works with Windows mobile, Android, and Symbian handsets. The new version of the browser, Skyfire 2 is now available for Android devices. Skyfire 2 introduces features like multi-touch, SkyBar, visual tabs etc. that makes browsing much better on Google Nexus One and other latest Android phones.

BlackBerry OS 6.0 new features

The present version, Blackberry OS 5.0 was released at the end of last year, and is now available for Blackberry Storm, Storm 2, Bold and other smartphones. The new Blackberry operating system will offer a combination of social media, multimedia and business productivity features. RIM hasn’t provided any details of phones that will get BlackBerry 6.0 upgrade or the dates around which final version would be available for download.

iPhone OS 4.0 download available for developers, features revealed

The prominent feature among them is the availability of multi-tasking. Multi-tasking will be valid for around 7 necessary services, which can be used by developers for new apps and additional features in existing applications. Apple also announced a new advertising model called iAd based on iPhone apps. Apple iPhone OS 4.0 will be available for iPod touch 3rd generation, iPad, iPhone 3G S and upcoming iPhone 4G/HD. Apple iPhone 3G and 2nd generation iPod’s also get some features of the iPhone OS 4.0, but not multi-tasking. The developer version of iPhone OS 4.0 download is now live at Apple website. The final build of the iPhone OS 4.0 will be pushed to devices by June of this year.
