Nokia 5800 Xpress music or Nokia tube was the first phone on Symbian S60 V5 touch user interface .After that we have seen Nokia N97 , Nokia 5230 Xpress music ,Nokia 5800 Navigation edition ,Nokia 5530 Xpress music, Nokia N97 mini and finally Nokia X6 using the same platform .5800 Xpress music was priced on a competitive rate that made it one of the most successful music phones of Nokia in recent times . To create a market for newly announced touch phones and to counter the competition from Samsung and LG , Nokia today reduced the price of the 5800 to INR 13500 (280 USD) without taxes . Being a touch phone , Nokia 5800 Xpress music would be great buy at this price.

Hi,
I learnt that Nokia have cut down in accessories of the box, like extra stylus, TV out cable and in fact TV out cable feature is also gone.
Can you please confirm?
Thanks
Naresh

Hi, I’m V.K. Srivastava and I’ using Nokia from past 15 years approx. [i.e. from Nokia 5100 to Nokia 5800] especially for two reasons:
1.Battery backup
2. Rough & tuff handset
For such Goodwill [Battery backup & Rough & tuff handset] its price is quite higher than other handset Company. Almost from last 2 years, now some other 3-4 branded handset companies give tuff competition to Nokia in INDIAN MARKET on the basis of some advance features / options, These are:-
1. Dual Sim [Exp.: Samsung, Spice & other handset companies]
2. Metallic body
3. Higher mega pixel Camera [Exp.: Sony Satio – 12.1 mega pixel]
4. Large Display screen. [Exp.: Sony Satio – 3.5”approx., LG-BL40 - 4” approx.]
5. Slimmer in size [Yes of course like Nokia-6300]
6. Blinking light features on the top right corner of the handset. [Exp.: Samsung R220]
7. Scratch proof display glass. [Exp.: Samsung Amold]
8. Available 2-3 TV channels too, especially for viewing Cricket match [Exp. Chinese Mobile]
9. Folder locker option: As like computer we also want to protect our Photos, videos and other files etc which are saved in our Mobile’s memory Card. That nobody can open our protected file / Folders without correct password.
I suggest Nokia to work hard on my above suggested points [features / options] if they really want to maintain Monopoly in INDIAN MOBILE MARKET as like earlier because I collect above mentioned views from large group of Indian people wants above mentions features in their Nokia handset in cheap price because cost of living in India is much lower than other countries. Personally I’m anxiously waiting for Nokia X6 [16 / 32 GB] in Indian market almost with the price of Nokia 5800 or quit higher.
My good wishes to Nokia Co.
