Google is almost ready with their own mobile device, likely to be called The Nexus One. Google phone will be powered by Android Operating system 2.1. Since the launch of Android operating system and later the Chrome OS, we were expecting Google to release a mobile  phone. Google recently made a partnership with Verizon wireless and Motorola to make Droid series of high end handsets. So we thought there are no further plans for Google to make its own mobile device. As per popular gadget blogs, Google already released the so called Google Nexus One phone to its employees around the globe. Google phone will be manufactured by HTC Corporation who already has the credit several successful Android devices. It will have one of the fastest mobile processor on the world, Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHZ. The Google phone is a GSM device sold unlocked. Update: Google officially announced Nexus One phone on January 5th 2010.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 price and launch dateSony Ericsson Xperia series currently constitute high end and costly smartphones on Windows mobile platform. We recently covered the price and specifications of Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 with latest Windows mobile 6.5 professional mobile operating system. So far we don’t have any Android based mobile device from Sony Ericsson. Finally Sony Ericsson is about to enter this promising mobile platform with upcoming XPERIA X10* aka Rachel. We have already seen so many leaked photos and spec sheets Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, even before Xperia X2 came into existence. Rumors suggest the name of this Android 2.0 powered phone as Xperia X3, Xperia X5 and Xperia X10. But we believe it to be Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 .

Google and Android developer community announced the next generation Android OS 2.0 that will power upcoming smartphones. Recent studies showed that Google Android will overtake many other smartphone operating systems including iPhone, Blackberry ,Web OS , Intel moblin OS etc. and place itself just below Nokia Symbian by the end of 2012. Android OS also proved that its well suited for netbooks. The 7 month growth of Android is amazing. Now we have good number of mobile phones running Android OS , moderate number supporting carriers and plenty of applications . Coming to Android OS 2.0, it will be first available on Motorola Droid and then in Sony Ericsson Rachel  releasing this November.
