Samsung launched a new Android based handset Galaxy Ace in India. The Galaxy Ace is positioned in the medium price range where we already have the HTC Wildfire, LG Optimus One and some other affordable Android smartphones. When compared with mobile phones in same price range, Galaxy Ace differs mainly on the screen size (3.5″), processor and camera quality. Galaxy Ace has an external design that resembles Galaxy S, Samsung Star and iPhone 3G S.

The T-mobile G1 by HTC was the first Android phone launched in the market. Things have changed much in the last two years. More than 10 companies are now making Android phones and around 200000 devices are activated per day. The T-mobile G2 announced today- is the second phone in the series which is a good upgrade from the existing model. The G2 is the first phone on T-mobile USA network with HSPA+, that is up-to 4G connectivity. Like its predecessor, T-mobile G2 also has the full QWERTY keypad. The screen is wider with the implementation of an optical trackpad. T-Mobile G2 will be shipped with latest Android 2.2 Froyo mobile operating system and will have the original Android interface.

Now there are several mobile browsers in the market. Most of us know Opera mini, Safari mobile and other default mobile browsers in our handsets. However, there are few other mobile web browser applications, those in some terms are better than the default web browsers. For example, Skyfire and BOLT are two apps that can stream YouTube, MetaCafe and other streaming videos within web pages. Whereas Opera mini and others open an external media player to play FLV videos. Skyfire is completely free and works with Windows mobile, Android, and Symbian handsets. The new version of the browser, Skyfire 2 is now available for Android devices. Skyfire 2 introduces  features like multi-touch, SkyBar, visual tabs etc. that makes browsing much better on Google Nexus One and other latest Android phones.

HTC corporation today announced a new handset, HTC Desire at MWC Barcelona. The HTC Desire is an Android based device that has looks and specs similar to Google Nexus One.  HTC uses a new Sense UI over the Android OS.  The very special about the updated sense UI is that comes with full support for Flash 10.0. So HTC Desire is nothing but  a Nexus One with Flash and familiar user interface all HTC fans would love.  On specification side, HTC desire has 1GHZ Snapdragon processor, 5MP camera, 3.7-inch AMOLED display and many other things we have seen with Nexus One. HTC Desire will be available from the second quarter of 2010 in Europe and Asia.

Google Nexus One price and specificationsGoogle’s own mobile phone Nexus One has already grabbed much attention from public. Each day we are getting leaked photos and videos of the device though blogs and websites. As we predicted in our earlier articles, the price of Google Nexus One phone is now almost confirmed as 530USD unlocked. US customers will have the option to get the device at subsidized price from T-mobile. Google is expected conduct an Android event on January 5 for the launch of Nexus One. Reports claim that the phone will be available online at google.com/phone, thereafter. The device will be manufactured by HTC corporation and marketed by Google. Google has also designed the interface of the device. The full specifications of Nexus One are also available now.

Google is almost ready with their own mobile device, likely to be called The Nexus One. Google phone will be powered by Android Operating system 2.1. Since the launch of Android operating system and later the Chrome OS, we were expecting Google to release a mobile  phone. Google recently made a partnership with Verizon wireless and Motorola to make Droid series of high end handsets. So we thought there are no further plans for Google to make its own mobile device. As per popular gadget blogs, Google already released the so called Google Nexus One phone to its employees around the globe. Google phone will be manufactured by HTC Corporation who already has the credit several successful Android devices. It will have one of the fastest mobile processor on the world, Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHZ. The Google phone is a GSM device sold unlocked. Update: Google officially announced Nexus One phone on January 5th 2010.
