i started using photon+ pre-paid recently. The service is really rubbish. B4 takin it, i enquired abt in sm parts of noida. According to the user there the speed is 67-160Kbps whereas i get a fluctuating speed of 0-133Kbps. The customer care doesnt ‘ve practical knowledge abt the speed. photon+ is just a fake, unnecessarily expensive & wastage of money. Rather go 4 airtel which is promising as i heard frm sm users.
m a photon+ post paid user since the time they came in dehradun directly or indirectly they extracted lot of money from me….!!! now m just waiting for others services to come in market so that their price may be fu**ed….

@Kevin No Tata photon Plus is a USB based broadband service. So you need to purchase USB device, select a tariff plan and the activate the service. Reliance also offer a similar mobile broadband connection. In both case you need a PC to laptop for operation. There is no roaming charges for Tata Photon plus USB or Tata photo broadband in India. Broadband coverage is limited to some areas as shown above. However, you can downgrade to normal 144 kbps dial-up speeds at all unsupported locations. We are not sure about roaming outside India.

TATA photo speed is very slow, rates are very high, can not be afford by a medium govt servant. I we use it two hours daily then Rs. 200 will run only for a week. I don’t think their rates and how they charge for the internet surfing. I feel sorry for purchasing it.

Tata Photon Plus is very very good. the speed is awesome. Only the prepaid rates should be lowered as they are very costly. Also if the 30days duration is compleled, and you are still having some unused Mb, the balance is NOT carried forward and added to your next recharge; you have to forfeit it. This is rediculous!!!! Why cant they make it like a normal mobile phone connection???? The validity should be lifetime and the balance unused MB should be carried forward to the next month.
