LG today officially unveiled the new Chocolate BL20 mobile phone . We have earlier covered LG BL40 Chocolate with huge 4.0 inch display , exciting looks and features . LG BL20 Chocolate come with slightly similar styling , but smaller screen size and inferior features . Chocolate styling is preserved in this model with elegant black -cherry red color combination and keypad orientation . Though there’s no touch UI , LG BL20 Chocolate uses touch sensitive navigation keys and slide out keypad .Specifications of new LG BL20 Chocolate includes 2.4 TFT display , upto 16Gb expandable memory slot ,3G , 5 mega pixel auto focus camera and FM radio .

But we assume the price to in the range of 8000-9000 INR for Samsung B3210 CorbyTXT and 12000-14000 for Samsung  B5310 CorbyPRO . Both phone are expected to be launched on September of 2009 .

Update : Samsung announced new  Corby Mate in  India for a price of 7300 INR .

Update : Samsung announced Samsung Lindy, a variant of Smasung Corby with WiFi, 3G , 3.2 MP camera , dedicated music keys and other features.

Change mobile operator without changing number

Mobile operates brings new tariff plans and offers each day. But for a customer its not possible to switch between different mobile carriers for interesting plans and issues related to services. MNP( Mobile Number Portability ) is a service that helps the customer to change to their favorite mobile operator without changing phone number. Talks on implementation Mobile Number Portability in India began almost 2 years back. Now the service is almost ready to be rolled out. As per Department Of Telecom (DOT), MNP service in India will be launched by the end of December in some selected cities and networks. Customers in supported network would be able to keep their mobile number moving to a new network. There will be small activation time and charge associated with this switching .

Champions Trophy Airtel and Vodafone cuts Roaming Tariff

ICC Champions Trophy cricket 2009 matches were started last day on South Africa . As cricket is the most viewed games in India ,it is very usual for many telecom providers to  announce various competitive tariff plans and value added services. So this time Airtel and Vodafone announced a drop in roaming tariff for Champions Trophy cricket at SA . Those who travel South Africa to watch live cricket match with their Airtel or Vodafone SIM card can avail this special tariff plans . Vodafone provides special tariff plans with their South African partner and member of Vodafone group Vodacom  . Airtel partnered with another mobile operator MTN SA to provide special Champions Trophy roaming charges .

ICC Champions Trophy roaming charges on Vodafone :

Vodafone users can roam in  Vodacom South Africa network on Champions Trophy days from 19 Sept to 5 Oct 2009  at 50 % of the original rate .

Champions trophy roaming charges on Airtel :

Airtel later announced a better roaming rate which cost RS 10 for all incoming calls . GPRS , SMS and other tariff plans will be the same as existing . This special roaming charges will be available only during Champions Trophy match schedule on MTN network in South Africa .
