Airtel Freedom pay per second plan

Almost all mobile carriers in India are following the path of Tata Docomo who first introduced pay per second plans for their GSM customers . So far we have Aircel,Vodafone, MTS, Idea, BSNL and some other networks with pay per second plans in selected areas. Finally now its the turn Airtel, India’s largest mobile carrier with Freedom pay per second plan all over the country. The Freedom tariff plans from Airtel lets the users to make STD and local calls at per second rates for a period of one year. In Tata Docomo we have lifetime per second validity. But if you are currently an Airtel customer who wish to keep your number and not using any special recharge vouchers for reduced call rates, then freedom pay per second plan exactly suites your needs .

Airtel Freedom plan would a great relief of Airtel customers who are spending around 60 RS per month for reduced call rates. Other than reduced call rates there is the advantage of pay as you go .

Airtel Freedom pay per second tariff plan .

All Airtel to Airtel calls will be charged per second ( Remember its just the same 60 paisa per minute).
Airtel to other network calls will be charged with 1.2 paisa per second . So that’s around 72 paisa for one minute.
Roaming ,ISD, SMS, MMS and other value added services in Airtel Freedom plan are just the same(per minute pulse) as the existing tariff plan of the customer .

You are not advised to shift to Freedom plan if you are using Airtel advantage plan or some other special recharge vouchers . Because in this case will loose your present offers and benefits. Also you cannot recharge your phone with special recharge vouchers after activating per second plans, unless otherwise notified.

Airtel Freedom pay per second plan tariff vouchers are different for different circles . New and existing customers have slight variation in RVC price rate. Charges start form 64 RS to a maximum of 99 RS . Just call 121 to know more about the Freedom RVC available at your location.

The per second pulse plans are becoming a trend in Indian telecom Industry. Even TRAI had insisted telecom companies to introduce per second plans. Anyway we will have thank Tata Docomo for forcing other Indian telecom networks to introduce second pulse plans for their customers .

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 price and launch date

Sony Ericsson Xperia series currently constitute high end and costly smartphones on Windows mobile platform. We recently covered the price and specifications of Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2 with latest Windows mobile 6.5 professional mobile operating system. So far we don’t have any Android based mobile device from Sony Ericsson. Finally Sony Ericsson is about to enter this promising mobile platform with upcoming XPERIA X10* aka Rachel. We have already seen so many leaked photos and spec sheets Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, even before Xperia X2 came into existence. Rumors suggest the name of this Android 2.0 powered phone as Xperia X3, Xperia X5 and Xperia X10. But we believe it to be Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 .

Android OS 2.0 features

Google and Android developer community announced the next generation Android OS 2.0 that will power upcoming smartphones. Recent studies showed that Google Android will overtake many other smartphone operating systems including iPhone, Blackberry ,Web OS , Intel moblin OS etc. and place itself just below Nokia Symbian by the end of 2012. Android OS also proved that its well suited for netbooks. The 7 month growth of Android is amazing. Now we have good number of mobile phones running Android OS , moderate number supporting carriers and plenty of applications . Coming to Android OS 2.0, it will be first available on Motorola Droid and then in Sony Ericsson Rachel releasing this November.

Samsung S5560 India price and specifications

Samsung will soon announce Samsung S5560 smartphone for India and other potential markets .Samsung S5560 has features and design that looks similar to Samsung Jet and recently released Samsung Corby . While Corby remains in the entry level, Samsung Jet targets upper class of touch segment. The new Samsung S5560 also includes a 5 mega pixel camera as just like in Jet, but it will not have 3G facility. Since many of the mobile networks in India and other parts of the world are still not equipped with 3G and as few customers require WLAN as an extra connectivity option, we guess its the right decision made by Samsung on specification of Samsung S5560. Other notable features of Samsung S5560 includes 3 inch resistive touch screen, TouchWiz UI and expandable memory upto 16GB using card .

HTC Droid Eris price and specification

We earlier covered the price and specifications of the Motorola Droid smartphone that is expected to be announced on Verizon Wireless in coming few days. As per the latest information , the Droid name will not be attached to any single mobile device . But Droid will be a series of Android smartphones for Verizon network , made by different manufactures and supported extensively by Google. Like Motorola Droid from Motorola Inc , HTC will contribute Droid Eris to the series. HTC Droid Eris was earlier known as HTC Desire .This phone would not be a competitor for Motorola Droid considering its processing power and other features . The preliminary specifications of HTC Droid Eris includes 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen, 528MHz Qualcomm CPU, 5 megapixels autofocus camera and expandable memory .

Nokia N97 software update 20.0 announced

Nokia today announced a quick firmware update for their flagship product Nokia N97. The new Nokia N97 software version 20.0 can be installed using Nokia software updater or by using Nokia Ovi suite . What special in the new Nokia software 20.0 is the addition of kinetic scrolling feature that found in other S60 V5 devices like Nokia 5530 Xpress music . Nokia N97 with firmware update 20.0 will be faster with improved battery life and enhanced video and image quality. It also adds VOIP facility and upgrades the default system applications with more features and performance upgrades . One such upgrade is for Nokia Ovi maps, which would be able to render 3D maps on version 3.1 .

Palm Pixi price and plans on Sprint

Palm and Sprint announced the next Web OS powered smartphone for its US customers . The first Web OS device Palm Pre gained good attention form public. Palm Pixi is slightly lower end phone when compered with its predecessor. Its visually longer and thinner. Major specifications of the device includes 2 mega pixel camera, inbuilt QWERTY keypad and selectable background covers like Dell Studio laptops. GSM versions of Palm Pre smartphone is now available in Europe . But still we don’t have any information on the official launch of the Palm Pre smartphone in India and other Asian countries. So its better not to make any assumptions on price of Palm Pixi in India. The US version of the device will be available from Sprint from this November 15 for US$ 99.99 with 2 year contract .
