Genuine IMEI Implant for China mobile phone in India

Indian Government has given a circular to mobile networks to block the services to the customers who does not have a valid IMEI number for their mobile phones. As per the direction, the service providers will start blocking such phones from 30 November 2009. Every GSM mobile has a unique 15 digit identification number i.e. International Equipment Identity (IMEI). By checking IMEI, we can find out the manufacturing date and model of the handset. In addition, we can tack lost mobile phones, their location and other details.

Most of the China mobiles do not have a valid IMEI number. People purchase China phones, as they appear economic. China phones offer much more facilities than other devices at same price. The decision of the government to block phones without IMEI number came out after when they found that the terrorists uses such devices for communication. The details of all phones with a valid IMEI number are stored in the database of Global System of Mobile Communication Association (GSMA). So it is very easy to find out whether your phone has a valid IMEI number or not.

The basic method to find out device IMEI number in mobile handset is to press *#06#. An IMEI is a 15-digit number, for eg: 196358370568478. After all, send this number to 53232 for validation.

Format to check China mobile IMEI number: IMEI space 15digit IMEI number to 53232
SMS charge RS 3.

If the IMEI number is valid, you receive a success message; else, invalid.

Genuine IMEI Implant for China mobile phone in India :

All those who are using China or other local phones with an invalid IMEI handset should implant new IMEI number by approaching GII (Genuine IMEI Implant program) centers run by ICA (Indian Cellular Association). The total amount for GII implant process is Rs.199 (all-inclusive). Before reaching the GII centers, you should arrange necessary documents like Voter ID card, Driving License, Passport, Ration card and passport size photo for verification process.

Mobile Number Portability India launch date and charges

Mobile Number Portability (MNP) allows the mobile phone users to select any network without changing their numbers. Indian mobile service providers will implement this facility from December31, 2009 in metro cities and by March 2010 onwards, in other parts of the country. MNP is firstly available in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, and ‘Circle A ‘service areas at first and rest of the country by March. Department of Telecom (DOT) earlier selected two companies Telcordia Technologies and Syniverse Technologies to aid them in rolling out MNP services.

Mobile Number Portability (MNP) implementation.

Mobile customers who are likely to change their service provider should get permission from the existing carrier. The customers must give a consent in written to the existing service provider to change from the current network to another. It will take 5 or 6 days to complete this process. After the completion of this process, they will give to the technology provider for further process of MNP application.

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) fixed the maximum rate of mobile number portability fee at Rs.19. “The per port transaction charge will be Rs.19 and the subscriber will not be charged more than that” TRAI said in a statement.

Mobile Number Portability (MNP) would make severe competition among mobile service providers in India. They will be compelled to lower the call and SMS rates. Coverage, call quality, customer service and all other areas will see improvements as this the only way to retain customers. The postpaid customers get more advantage from the MNP. They have lesser tendency than the prepaid users to change their numbers, and therefore they will move to a better service provider if required.

We expect Mobile Number Portability to change the face of Indian Telecom sector.
