Many of the Indian customers these days prefer mobile phones manufactured by companies like Micromax, Karbon, Spice, Videocon, BPL and Maxx mobiles than traditional mobile makers. Mobile phone made by them is of lower price and most possible specifications. These budget phones have proven to be a success in Indian perspectives. In an attempt to position them stronger, one such mobile manufacturer Spice today announced M-7070, a 5 mega pixel dual SIM (GSM-GSM) mobile device. The price of Spice M-7070 is only 7999INR or 170USD. Specifications of spice M-7070 include up to 16GB expandable via the memory card slot, FM recording, video and audio player, support for Java applications, etc.

Phones in the Corby series are presently the most favored mobile models of Smasung electronics in India. Samsung launched the first Corby phone, S3653 Corby in last October. The fame of the first handset made them to go ahead with more devices in the Corby series. The colors and design of Samsung Corby placed it as a choice for youth and ladies. Samsung Corby is basically a low price touch screen phone. Currently there are 5 Samsung Corby phones in India. They are Samsung S365 Corby (the basic one), Samsung Corby Mate, Samsung CorbyPLUS (B3410), Samsung CorbyTXT and Samsung CorbyPRO. Download Firefox mobile application

Mozilla is at present the second largest browser maker in the world with its Firefox web browser. Firefox browser is the output of an open source project that is intended to work on several operating systems including Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems. The major advantages of Firefox are its capability to load web pages faster and customization possibilities with the use of plugins or Addons The large number of available Addons makes it more than a browser. It’s a long term urge from mobile users for a mobile version of Firefox. Mozilla has been working on the same from the last few years. The Firefox mobile browser named Fennec is now almost nearing its completion. Currently there are two test versions of Fennec available for download, Fennec beta for Nokia Internet tablets and Fennec Alpha for Windows mobile. We have downloaded the latest version of Firefox mobile application, Fennec beta 5. Have a look at the features we found with this version.

Samsung Bada mobile OS screenshots and features

We earlier covered Samsung’s plan to launch its own mobile operating system called Bada. Bada in Korean means Ocean. By this name Samsung projects the ultimate possibilities of its OS. They have already released the developer tools for Bada OS. Bada powered mobile devices will hit the market by the first quarter of 2010. Thereafter Samsung would drop the use of Windows mobile OS and Symbian OS from their smartphones to replace them with Bada OS. Today we got few screenshots of a Samsung device using the Bada OS. The interface of the OS looks like a combination of Nokia’s Symbian OS V5, Android OS and Samsung TouchWiz. Now the only question is about its supports on hardware and software development perspectives.

SonyEricsson Hazel and Elm price specifications

SonyEricsson today announced two handsets Elm and Hazel. SonyEricsson Hazel is slider phone, whereas the Elm has candybar design. Both phones are prepared as a part of SonyEricsson Greenheart strategy. That is the Elm and Hazel and few equipment’s of them are designed with great care to reduce the carbon emission and thus to protect environment from hazardous chemicals. The common features of Sony Ericsson Elm and Hazel are the excellent voice quality and 5 MP Autofocus camera. These devices use sound enhancing technologies like Noise Shield, Clear Voice and Intelligent Volume Adaptation. Surprising fact is that they are HD voice ready, for the first time in a SonyEricsson device. SonyEricsson Elm and Hazel come with curved design on one side to fit themselves smoothly on the palm of user.

Google phone Nexus One price and specifications

Google is almost ready with their own mobile device, likely to be called The Nexus One. Google phone will be powered by Android Operating system 2.1. Since the launch of Android operating system and later the Chrome OS, we were expecting Google to release a mobile phone. Google recently made a partnership with Verizon wireless and Motorola to make Droid series of high end handsets. So we thought there are no further plans for Google to make its own mobile device. As per popular gadget blogs, Google already released the so called Google Nexus One phone to its employees around the globe. Google phone will be manufactured by HTC Corporation who already has the credit several successful Android devices. It will have one of the fastest mobile processor on the world, Qualcomm Snapdragon 1GHZ. The Google phone is a GSM device sold unlocked. Update: Google officially announced Nexus One phone on January 5th 2010.

Samsung Lindy price and specifications

Samsung announced the availability of its new handset under the name M5650 Lindy. On hearing the name we feel like a totally different phone. But on seeing the pictures of the new Samsung Lindy, you will realize that Lindy is nothing but Samsung Corby with feature modifications. We have seen similar implementation in Samsung Star with the launch of Star WiFi. Guys at the head office of Samsung electronics are confusing customers by launching several touch phones each month. It might be a game plan from Samsung to create a virtual increase their market share. But Samsung is pretty successful with their recent touch phones like Star and Corby, both touched several millions in global sales. The launch of WiFi enabled Corby as Samsung Lindy would accelerate their growth in entry level touch segment. Another change in Samsung Lindy is the availability of high speed 3G at HSDPA standard. The 2MP camera in Samsung Corby has seen an upgrade to 3.15 MP autofocus with video recording.
