Palm pre iPhone 3G comparison

The most awaited Palm pre is all set to be release on June 6 .Sprint will be offering the device for 199 $ after rebate and service contract . Palm pre is the first phone to be powered by Plam web OS , a redesigned version of old palm OS to incorporate challenges of latest web technologies and instant messaging .Plam had released Web OS SDK earlier this year ,but still there is shortage of applications that is expected to be covered soon . While iPhone app store crossed million mark in applications count,this would be the first point for everyone who is making a comparison between Palm pre and iPhone 3G. This comparison would have been more attracted to Plam pre if iPhone OS 3.0 was not there .

Plam Pre  features a wide touch screen just like  iPhone but smaller in size (3.1-inch ). As you can see there is Virtual and QWERTY  keyboard in palm ,and the later is not available in iPhone 3G . Palm pre is geared by TI OMAP3 processor with 256 MB of RAM , and there is 7GB of free space after covering software requirements .

Palm pre is equipped with 3.2 mega  pixel camera with LED flash On the other side , iPhone camera is just only 2 mega pixels and doesn't support video recording and lacks led flash .

Palm pre supports MMS , Bluetooth with A2DP,and video recording which were earlier not supported in iPhone 3G .

There is no clues regarding the Indian launch of palm pre . Initially we expected iPhone 3 G for around 10000-18000 but things turn around when officially launched by Airtel and Vodfone . So if they are offering Plam pre without any contract the price will be around 18000-22000 INR .

Nokia yesterday launched the most awaited Nseries smartphone N97 on Indian markets . Nokia N97 is powered by a Symbain OS S60 V5 touch family and has large wide screen for excellent web and multimedia experience .Another great features of N97 are the inbuilt 32 GB memory that is expandable upto 48 GB and 5 Mega pixel camera with Carl Zeiss Tessar lens .
