LG’s first Android tablet Optimus Pad has been revealed at the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona. Like Galaxy Tab 10.1, Xoom and others LG Optimus Pad is based on Google’s new tablet only Android version 3.0 HoneyComb. LG Optimus Pad (Also known as T-Mobile G-Slate in US) has a 8.9 inch WXGA capacitive display with multi-touch input support. One special feature of the Optimus Pad is the 3D support for main camera. Users can record 1080p HD videos using the camera and transfer it to external HDTV or any other compatible device through the built in HDMI port.

LG today announced a sleek and stylish smartphone called Optimus Black at CES 2011 in USA. Major attraction of the LG Optimus Black is the newly introduced Nova mobile display. LG claims that display is the brightest display in the world with up-to 700 cd/m2. That figure looks great when compared with 500 cd/m2 Retina display and 300 cd/m2 AMOLED display. The Nova display also provides up-to 50% more battery life than the traditional smartphones using LCD panels. LG Optimus Black is the first smartphone in the world to get a 2MP front camera and the Wi-Fi Direct features. The Wi-Fi Direct facility in LG Optimus Black is one new standard that let users to connect between the certified devices in a manner that they can share data without wires or WiFi hotspots.

LG today announced Optimus 2X, a new smartphone based on the NVIDIA Tegra 2 mobile processor. LG Optimus 2X is the first mainstream mobile phone to have the ability to record and play 1080p videos. It has a large 4.0 inch (480 x 800 pixels) touch screen, which is capable of playing HD videos at super clarity and depth. The device is based on Google Android platform and will be shipped with Android 2.2 on-board. The dual core CPU in Optimus 2X brings an up-to two-times performance increase than the current single CPU mobile phones in the market. Optimus 2X would be able to pay graphic s intensive games and load heavy complex web pages in an easy way.

Cookie phone received huge response from public, and it crossed more than 1 million in sales. Samsung followed LG and launched Star and Corby series. LG unveiled GW620 through a press conference where they also announced notable features of the phone. Finally for the first time its available for Rogers customers in Canada as LG Eve. Eve would be the name for the Canadian or US version of GW620. There are rumors stating that for other places it would be called as LG Etna.
