Few months back, I wrote a post on how to sign and install unsigned Symbian applications. Due to two three months of inactivity and increased requests from my friends here, now I am again dealing with this topic. Like any Windows software, as a security measure, a mobile software should also be digitally signed to ensure that it’s safe to install on the target device. Digital signing should be done by software authors or by the users. In in most of the cases, a certificate is associated with genuine mobile software. GPRS settings for Airtel, BSNL, Vodafone and Idea

GPRS settings are usually sent immediately after activating an internet connection with Idea Airtel, Vodafone and BSNL. And if you have missed the settings message, just call the customer care number. They would resend it for you. Your phone must be switched ON for receiving GPRS settings. Nokia and SonyEricsson customers have other options to get GPRS settings.

Send Unlimited free SMS from Airtel mobile

A few days back I shared a few BSNL message center number that when used let you send unlimited free SMS messages in India. Now here is another message center number but this time its Airtel that does the same thing.

For this, you have to create a new message center from your phone’s messaging options. Use this number +919810051905 as the message center number. Now I assume that you are on a Nokia mobile phone. Browse through your phone settings and find out packet data from connections. Now change the option for Packet data connection from when needed to when available and access point as Airtel Live. Save the settings.

Now onward send unlimited free SMS from your Airtel mobile phone. And when each time you send an SMS, remember to add a zero at the beginning of destination number.

In this method we make use any one of two mobile browser software, Teashark and UCweb. Teashark is SonyEricsson’s native mobile browser, but can be used in almost all Java supported mobile devices.
