Dell, the famous computer manufacturer announced their plans to join the Smartphone race by officially unveiling Dell mini 3. We earlier covered the unofficial appearance of Dell mini 3 in China. The official press release today confirmed the upcoming release of Dell mini 3 to China and Brazil. Dell mini 3 is a Android phone. Specifications of the devices include 3.15 mega pixel cameras, 3.5 inch touch screen, 3G, Wi-Fi GPS etc. They have also mentioned that they have tie-up with few telecom companies in US, Europe and some other Asian countries that would be used to launch Dell mini 3 in those markets.
Dell mini 3 initially targets the customers of two of the world’s largest mobile operators China mobile and Claro of Americas. We are not sure how Dell started naming its Smartphone with 3. It may be because of its 3G capabilities, or just a fancy numbering. Dell mini 3 packs everything found in an entry level Android Smartphone.
Dell mini 3.0 specifications:
Dell mini 3 will include a 3.5 inch TFT capacitive touch screen with accelerometer sensor and virtual onscreen keypad. 3.15 mega pixel camera, Wi-Fi, Assisted GPS, Expandable memory, GPRS, Bluetooth, EDGE , USB , Full web browser ,Google mobile applications etc.
Dell mini 3 price :
Dell mini 3.0 will be launched this November on China mobile and then on Claro by coming December. Dell didn’t confirmed the price of device. But we expect the price of Dell mini 3 to be around 450 -500$.
If the price weren't so high the phone seems 2 be good
whats about the news that dell will put this phone in only 2 countries at start (china and brazil)?
I’m sure the naming is due to the screen size, just like the Dell Mini 9 and Dell Mini 10 have 9″ and 10″ screens respectively.
I don’t agree with such a desperate race for offering smartphones, tablets, Ipads, that after two years became completelly obsollete
